Formula 1 is one of the most demanding sports in the world. The drivers and crew travel constantly around the world throughout the year. Hence, it is no surprise they get paid handsomely and enjoy a much needed break from time to time. Lewis Hamilton recently visited the African continent to get in touch with his roots – an experience he termed as life changing.

However, Hamilton is not finished with his vacations to Africa. The Mercedes driver revealed that he would next like to explore the other part of Africa he couldn’t visit last time out. Talking to Sky Sports in an interview, Hamilton revealed his plans for his next trip to Africa. Furthermore, he revealed his favorite destination from his last trip.

The Mercedes man stated“I would say Rwanda is probably was probably my favorite. In terms of like, if I felt like I could live there for like every day.”

He further added, “Next year I’m gonna plan to go to probably, West Africa. Nigeria, Ghana. I’m dying to go to those places too.”

Lewis Hamilton has been pretty vocal about exploring and supporting his heritage in the past. Now, he not only embraces and celebrates it proudly but also educates people regarding the same.

Lewis Hamilton plans on staying at Mercedes for life

Despite having won almost everything with Mercedes in his career, Lewis Hamilton does not plan on leaving the Silver Arrows anytime soon. The former McLaren driver has a stupendous record with the Brackley-based constructors winning 6 of his 7 titles with them. Furthermore, he has won 82 races for Mercedes since joining them.

Moreover, the 37-year-old revealed he has every intention of continuing, and even staying with them for life. Lewis said, “I spoke to him [Wolff] about his comments. I can’t say just yet. Possibly.”

“I’m feeling good, I love what I’m doing. We have a lot of work to do, a lot to achieve still. I’m not planning on going anywhere any time soon. I’m planning on staying longer but it’s not set in stone on how long.”
