The seventh race of the 2022 season ended with Red Bull taking two driver’s trophies and a constructors’ trophy back to the Milton Keynes base. However, many overlooked the fact that McLaren also scored points with their young prodigy Lando Norris, who was sick throughout the weekend.

The 22-year-old came to the principality of Monaco with tonsillitis, which even kept him from being a part of the press conference. Further, the driver also avoided making much radio conversation with his team throughout the Monaco GP.

Why is Lando Norris waiting to be at 100%?

The McLaren prodigy qualified fifth for the Sunday race, way ahead of 2018 Monaco winner and teammate Daniel Ricciardo. Further, Norris showcased outstanding performance throughout the chaotic race. After a praiseworthy weekend, Norris took to his Instagram and wrote, “6th & fastest lap. Just you wait until I’m back @ 100%”

Norris reported, “I would have loved to go back yesterday to qualifying again feeling 100% because that’s why I feel like just small mistakes. A little spin here can cause half a tenth, but when you have 2 or 3 on a lap… I can’t blame it on just not feeling good because of a lot of lack of sleep.”
