One man’s trash is another man’s dollar. Max Verstappen’s ‘playing with the buttons’ comments suggested he was bored following Perez and did not really care about the win. However, one who did care was Charles Leclerc, who fought and cared about winning. Unfortunately, that did not happen. However, Leclerc made sure to make the most of his opportunities by first stealing Checo’s chair and then attempting to snatch Max Verstappen’s glory, which the Dutchman did not seem excited about.

Not quite the Azerbaijan GP that Leclerc had expected. The Monegasque started on the pole with the hopes of converting it into a race win. With the pace looking sub-par from the sprint race, there were at least some hopes to make it across the finishing line first. However, the Red Bulls had other plans as Sergio Perez and Max Verstappen flew past the sorry Charles Leclerc who did not even fight for it. The Ferrari driver did manage to hold on to P3 and got the first taste of champagne this season.

The comical blunder of Charles Leclerc

Nevertheless, despite finishing P3, Charles Leclerc did enjoy sitting on the chair designated for the winner in the cooldown room. Leclerc asked Checo if he wanted his chair, to which the Mexican replied no. The Monegasque continued by saying that at least he gets to sit on the P1 chair, suggesting how bad Leclerc was feeling after not being able to win the race

However, Checo’s chair was not the only thing that Leclerc stole that day. At the celebration, Charles Leclerc was standing to the right of Sergio Perez, the side reserved for the P2 driver. Initially, even the flag above the Monegasque was that of the Netherlands, which was later changed to the flag of Monaco. While none of it was intentional, it is funny how Leclerc made two comical blunders at the end of the same race.

While we are on the topic of stealing, Charles Leclerc is not the only one who can steal things. In fact, last year a couple of thieves stole Charles Leclerc’s Richard Mille worth $320,000 before the Emilia Romagna GP. Yet, Charles Leclerc recently flaunted another expensive watch.

Leclerc spotted wearing a $200,000 watch

The Monegasque was recently spotted with Pierre Gasly at the Rolex Monte Carlo Masters finals. He was wearing a Richard Mille RM 72-01 ‘Flyback Chronograph’ in a video posted by @rolexmontecarlomasters on Instagram. This watch was comparatively cheaper than the one that was stolen a year ago. However, it still is quite expensive to be worn to a public event with loads of people around.

According to the Instagram post uploaded by the super watchman, “The tonneau-shaped timepiece features a 38 mm case in grade 5 titanium, 5N red gold, black TZP, and white ATZ ceramic with 5N red gold case, presented on a white rubber strap.”
