McLaren sported a Triple Crown livery on their gear, machines, and drivers during the iconic Monaco race. While Graham Hill has been the only driver to claim the three jewels, McLaren boasts of being the only team to have done so. And while the history of the Woking-based outfit is one of the richest heritage there can be, their present is plagued with the sluggish machines in F1. But the team remains hopeful.
Lando Norris and his rookie teammate brought in a double-point haul in the tough conditions of Monaco. The team’s 2023 trajectory has been nothing short of a turncoat event. The team unveiled their real 2023 challenger at Baku and showed some promise, but it hasn’t been enough. Norris described the weekend in Monaco as “not taking too many positives” which has pushed us to hope for the better. As quoted by Formula Passion, TP Andrea Stella said, “We are working to deliver the main series of upgrades between Austria and Silverstone. It will be a significantly different car. We hope to be able to bring other updates after the summer.”

Lando Norris got obstructed by Charles Leclerc during his flying lap which put him in a not-so-favorable position to pull an Esteban Ocon. While the race was rather eventful with rain gods garnishing the track, every driver struggled with tires. Calling himself quickest after putting on inters. He said, “Even quicker than Max, I wanted Max to get blue flags, probably the first time in his life he would have had blue flags, it would have been amazing. So I was really hoping to pass him just because he would have hated it and I would have loved it and it would have just been funny, but he was leading the Monaco Grand Prix, so I also didn’t really want to intrude too much. But the pace was actually very, very strong. Like I said, quickest on track in the end.”
