A Red Bull Legend was recently trolled by Mika Hakkinen on Twitter when the Finnish Driver reminded him of his past crimes from the 1999 Austrian GP where Hakkinen was spun around by him. However, this time around, Max Verstappen trolls this Legend about his white hair as he gave him a life-threatening scare at the Austrian GP. What was this scare?

Max Verstappen has been unstoppable this season. However, the Dutchman seemed to be in a different league only when it came to Red Bull’s home race. Verstappen grabbed the pole in Austria and converted it into a race win. However, if that wasn’t enough for Verstappen, he also wanted the fastest lap. Against his race engineer’s advice, Max Verstappen convinced the team to pit for fresh tires going into the penultimate lap.

And yes, you guessed it right. Verstappen bagged the fastest lap on the last lap as he warmed up his tires on the penultimate lap with Leclerc less than 5 seconds behind him. Nonetheless, for Max Verstappen, the highlight of that pitstop wasn’t the crew but a Red Bull Legend. David Coulthard recently shared a story where he revealed how Max Verstappen gave him a life-threatening scare during that pitstop.

According to the Tweet by @redbulletin, Max Verstappen asked David Coulthard if the Red Bull legend liked how close Verstappen got to him during the penultimate lap pitstop in Austria. Surprised, Coulthard asked “You knew it was me?”, to which Verstappen replied “Oh yeah I didn’t need to go that close. I just wanted to give you a little scare.”

Coulthard later asked the 25-year-old how he knew it was him. Max Verstappen trolled the Former Red Bull driver and said, “There’s only one guy with white trousers and white hair that would stand in the pit lane.” Just goes on to show how much capacity great drivers like Max Verstappen have. With Verstappen leading the championship with about a century of points, Eddie Jordan suggested an idea to equal things out.

Max Verstappen’s dominance this year so far gives many people the scare that the Dutchman will win all the remaining races in the season. At the moment, Verstappen alone has enough points to beat the other constructors in the championship. Eddie Jordan suggested that Max Verstappen should be given a handicap and then it might be possible for others to challenge the Dutchman.

According to the Formula for Success podcast, Eddie Jordan said, “Send Max on an extended holiday for about six weeks or six races, and he’d still come back and win by four races.” He further suggested an idea and said, “I think that if Max was to win so many races that he maybe should carry three kilos extra for every race he wins just to sort of see if we can even it out.”
