There is no secret that Sebastian Vettel is an old-school guy. In the day and age when celebrities, especially F1 stars, are found showcasing their love life on social media, the four times champion opted to not even join these platforms till very recently. However, Gregor Grant Award ceremony, the retiring husband, manifested a grand romantic gesture for his wife.

As we all know, Sebastian Vettel has bid farewell to the world of Formula 1. The four-time champion left the pinnacle of motorsport as the third-best driver of all time, in terms of world titles. Being a motorist in such a highly competitive sport, that too for these long years, Vettel certainly needed support. And the German had exactly that with his better half, Hanna Prater.

So to pay some of it back, the winner of 122 podiums recently showed his romantic side. The ‘retiring husband’ was at the Gregor Grant Award ceremony, where he won the ‘Gregor Grant award’.

After receiving the award for lifetime achievement in the world of motorsport, the German, in his speech said, “I have a wonderful wife we got together in high school, we still together, I still love her.”

Listening to this, Natalie Pinkham interjected, “more importantly, she still loves you!”

Vettel replied, “I hope she does.”

Even though we often see F1 drivers with their romantic partners in the F1 paddock, we hardly saw Prater accompany Seb.

Everybody enjoys the glorious days in their life, but what about the non-glorious ones? For that, each one of us needs someone who can get us through that period. And for Vettel, it was his wife.

Hannah Prater has been with Seb since high school and Vettel claims she has always been supportive of his racing endeavors. The ex-Ferrari driver said, “F1 life is very intense with lots of races and with lots of things to do. I think it is consuming mentally. She kept me sane, looked after me and give me all the support so I don’t feel alone and felt loved. I think she is the best person in the world and the best person for me to be with!”
