Ferrari started the season brilliantly, with powerful performances. However, the Italian team soon became victims of their unreliability and poor strategic calls. Ferrari not only lost the championship lead to Red Bull but also started lagging to challenge for the drivers’ championship.
The Scuderia despite a competitive car, is well out of reach in both championships. There have been plenty of examples of poor strategic calls in recent races as well. One is Carlos Sainz’s pit stop at the Dutch GP which cost him valuable seconds because of the tire mixup.
In a season in which Ferrari could’ve finally ended their drought, the strategic calls are definitely the unwanted highlight. Ferrari’s failure to put up a proper fight for the championship with Leclerc at the helm is a massive point of discussion for the Tifosi as well. Fans have pointed out the obvious error in judgment by the team on Twitter every chance they got.
