Red Bull is having one of the most dominant seasons in the history of Formula 1 so far. Out of the 20 races so far this season, Red Bull has won an impressive 19 of them. There is no doubt that Max Verstappen has been in an incredibly good form. However, the RB 19 is no slouch either. This Red Bull has built is definitely miles ahead of the competition. All teams would envy some secrets behind the 2023 champion car, especially from its architect – Adrian Newey.
The other teams are doing everything they can to try and catch up to Red Bull, albeit unsuccessful. While Mercedes, Ferrari and lately McLaren are looking somewhat competitive, they are just not nearly as fast as the Red Bull, nor are they showing up consistently at every single circuit. The mastermind behind the car, Adrian Newey, recently sent a ruthless four-word message to rivals at a recent event.

The Chief Technical Officer of Red Bull Racing recently made an appearance at the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion. After the premier event, where over 550 race cars competed, Adrian Newey gave an interview to Kev Harris from Weathertech Raceway.
During the interview, Adrian discussed different topics, ranging from his passion for cars, and how he gained a better understanding of his day job after spending some time behind the wheel. However, one interesting question caught everyone’s attention.
Harris congratulated Adrian on having a dominant season and asked him about what other teams could do to catch up with Red Bull. Adrian obviously had an inkling, to say the least, on what he’d do to make the other cars competitive. However, instead of revealing some steps, he chose to give a savage 4-word message, “I’m not telling them”.
Newey has been the crucial pillar for the Milton Keynes outfit’s success over the past decade. There have been doubts this year that the British designer may leave Red Bull on a high to take up a new challenge. Unfortunately for teams like Ferrari & Mercedes, it remains an unrequited dream to have Newey’s mastermind as he looks to further solidify RBR’s dominance.

Future outlooks for Red Bull’s dominance
The Red Bull dominance doesn’t look like it’s stopping anytime soon. The prospects for the next season also look a little bleak for the other teams. Lewis Hamilton went as far as to say that he doesn’t expect Mercedes to close the “gap” for another two years. While the Red Bull camp has downplayed the statement from the seven-time champion, there are already rumors about a new invention that could further increase Red Bull’s dominance further.
The 2026 regulations overhaul may be the opportunity for many like McLaren, Ferrari, and Aston Martin to turn the tables in terms of competitiveness. While Mercedes will also look to regain its supremacy, Red Bull having its Ford partnership starting in ’26 may only make things tougher for all other teams.
