Many believe that Verstappen’s aggression and clinical nature are what make him the driver that he is and is linked to his dominance as well: However, his aggressiveness does come out as arrogance at times with many accusing Verstappen of being arrogant. However, Tom Clarkson put the arrogant image to bed as he explained Verstappen’s humble nature by giving an example of his gesture toward Sergio Perez. What did Clarkson say?

Do you recall all the crashes between Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton during the 2021 season? Max Verstappen didn’t accept his mistake for even 1 of the crashes. While it is questionable whether the incidents were his fault, what we’re focusing on is how Verstappen always seemed to have that arrogant touch. However, the story told by Clarkson will change your mind.

According to @Redbulletin’s Tweet, Tom Clarkson told a story between Verstappen and Checo. Clarkson advised that Sergio Perez left his bottle in the press conference room. Clarkson picked up the bottle and walked toward the Red Bull garage to give it back. Verstappen happened to be nearby as he ran over toward Clarkson and asked “Why have you got one of our drinks bottles?”

Clarkson then went on to explain the situation to Max. The Dutchman then asked Clarkson if he’d like him to give the bottle back to Checo. As Clarkson agreed, Verstappen took the bottle and ran away with it. The situation left Tom Clarkson in shock just like we were after reading the story. Even Fernando Alonso recently revealed his liking for Max Verstappen.

However, continuing with the image, Fernando Alonso recently praised the guy running away with the championship. Yes, Fernando Alonso praised Max Verstappen as he reveals why he likes the 25-year-old.

According to the F1: Chequered Flag podcast, Fernando Alonso said “I like Max. I think it’s a driver that comes to the circuit dressed in a Red Bull uniform. Race Saturday and Sunday, leave the track, and go back home. And still racing on sim racing and the GTs with the father or just enjoying motorsport in general, living a normal life.” He then added “He’s very fast. His attitude and behavior, he’s very normal.”
