The 2023 F1 season is about to come to an end. With the Abu Dhabi GP scheduled at the Yas Marina circuit this weekend, there are a lot of important storylines that you should be on the lookout for. The important one is the battle between Ferrari and Mercedes for P2 in the constructor’s championship. As it stands now, it is extremely tight between the two teams; Mercedes are slightly ahead of their Maranello counterparts by 4 points. McLaren would also be battling Aston Martin for the honors of P4 in the constructors championship. The gap between these two teams is slightly wider though, with Aston Martin having to overtake a 14-point deficit over a single weekend.

This is not going to be a sprint weekend either. As usual, you can catch the race on ESPN if you’re in the United States, and Sky Sports if you’re in the UK. Of course, F1’s very own F1 TV app will also help you watch the race live, provided you have the pro subscription. After the late-night schedule in Las Vegas, Abu Dhabi is back to the usual timings for fans across the world.

As this is not a sprint weekend the same routine will be in effect. Two Free practice sessions on Friday, the third and final free practice session on Saturday, followed by the qualifying. The race, of course, will happen on Sunday.

Abu Dhabi has hosted the final race of the season finale for 8 years on the trot now. Of course, over the years, it has seen some interesting finales, with Nico Rosberg and Max Verstappen gaining their first titles here. However, this time, there will be no such title fights for the fans, we will have to suffice with the fight between P2 and P3 in the constructors for now.

It will also be interesting to see if Verstappen cements the 2023 season as the most dominant season a driver has had, beating Alberto Ascari’s record, which was set all the way back in 1952.
