Racing Point will soon be known as Aston Martin. Well, the team will look to shed all the tar on its name and make a fresh start come 2021. However, with sarcastic competitors like Red Bull, that may not be as simple as it sounds.
Racing Point have enjoyed their best year in F1 this time around. With the RP20 of either Perez or Stroll scoring almost every weekend, they enter the 2021 season with a bolstered resolve and high spirits. However, one habit that they might want to brush off is copying chassis designs from other constructors.
The RP20, more commonly known as the ‘Pink Mercedes’, was infamous for its entire layout. The only difference between the AMG W11s and the RP20 was the color.

Besides that, it was almost like 4 AMGs racing this season. Well, they might have ended the season well with a podium at Sakhir, courtesy of Sergio Perez, they will still have to tolerate the harsh taunts.
Lewis Hamilton and Bottas could not stop Verstappen from winning the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Yet, they did not disappoint the fans.
Both employed their W11s to a solid burnout before making it to the podium. Mercedes’ farewell message to their cars was heart-warming but Red Bull’s taunt out of nowhere, hit Racing Point right where it hurts.

Racing Point burns from Mercedes burnout
The video shows the W11 busting sick burnouts at the Yas Marina Circuit. However, following Red Bull’s comment, Racing Point are the ones with the burns.
They cannot defend their case here as they are guilty of the accusation. To aggravate affairs, other teams started reacting to the comment.

Red Bull had a fantastic weekend. After Max Verstappen sealed a pole at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix starting grid, he went onto win the race.
Well, if that was not enough, even Alex Albon secured a P4 hauling a hefty trove of points for his team. Considering how it is their day, Lawrence Stroll’s team will have to bear the burn.
