Fernando Alonso and Sebastian Vettel are currently competing with midfield teams. However, the two racing world champions in the twilight of their careers drove some incredible races in powerful cars. Vettel, a four-time, and Alonso, a two-time world champion, might be nothing alike in life but are very similar drivers.

The fearless and aggressive driving styles make the two of them very tough opponents for anyone on the grid. Although the clashes between the two may have been plenty, however, the most memorable one is a throwback to the upcoming British GP. Vettel and Alonso locked horns in Silverstone in 2014 while driving for Red Bull and Ferrari, respectively.

Sebastian Vettel, with the help of a clip, runs through a very “intense” race with Alonso. There was a lot of back and forth between Vettel and Alonso on their respective team radios throughout the race. Vettel even said, “A Spaniard with a German complaining, so I think it’s a draw.”

Vettel reviewed an overtake attempt by him, he said, “Down the Wellington straight, he’s (Fernando Alonso) blocking the inside, left me no room, I tried to around the outside but then very aggressive, a but like Max (Verstappen), keeps coming back.”

Reviewing the move that finally stuck, Vettel said, “Racing down to Copse and I think at that stage he starts to see me. He knows that I’m there; he always knows where you are”

Vettel made the move stick till the checkered flag, but Alonso did not make it easy. The two fretted throughout their on-track battle, as they warned both about the track limits. Intense battles like such make this sport so intriguing. Let’s hope we see more of the same from the two, albeit in different chassis.
