Haas was among the first to debut their new look for the upcoming season, and now they’re also among the first to test-drive their VF-23. The Kannapolis-based team’s opportunity to flex their MoneyGram muscles on the renowned British track during this shakedown was at Silverstone. Fans should pay greater attention to the fact that the team made new car images available for public viewing. In the midst of all of this, what got people’s attention was how the German driver took a jibe at an incident that occurred between Magnussen and Hulkenberg back in 2017.
Photos of staff members and drivers, Kevin Magnussen and Nico Hulkenberg, with the new challenger, reveal some fascinating alterations from the model from the last year. Haas has also presented additional photographs from the American team’s factory, where they wished to emphasize the framework’s bonding as a fundamental value to growing together. But the thing that spotted the attention was how Nico Hulkenberg uploaded the tweet with the caption, “part of the team & a pair of balls.”

Indirectly, the German driver wanted to poke fun at the Dane by pointing out the incident which took place at the Hungarian Grand Prix back in 2017. In the Budapest race, Magnussen knocked Renault’s Nico Hulkenberg off the track while the two were vying for a place. The Haas driver was then fined for the action. After the flag, Hulkenberg moved closer to Magnussen, who was having an interview with Danish tv. There Hulkenberg stated, “Once again the most unsporting driver on the grid.” To that Magnussen replied, “S**k my balls, honey.”
You may be mistaken if you think that Haas was the only team to do the inspection. Because in addition to Haas, the other two teams, Red Bull and Alfa Romeo, have also touched down on the runway.
Haas followed a shakedown program after Red Bull and Alfa Romeo
For a brief pre-season shooting session on Friday, Alfa Romeo and the current Formula 1 champion Red Bull tested their 2023 cars on the circuit. Red Bull released a teaser of their RB19 lap at Silverstone while Alfa Romeo reported that their C43 had a successful debut at Barcelona’s Circuit de Catalunya. The Milton Keynes-based team, which is well known for preferring to keep its innovative ideas a secret, only made certain video footage of the car from the event available for public viewing.

Red Bull was allowed to do two pre-season inspections each year in accordance with the regulations and when it comes to Alfa Romeo, both drivers were spotted receiving the honor of driving the new car while seated behind the Red and Black Alfa Romeo vehicle. After the anticipated lap at the course, the Alfa Romeo technical director was delighted.
As per CNN, he said, “The debut of our C43 is a pivotal moment in our season it marks the start of our on-track campaign and really drives home how close the season is. Today was important to ensure everything is in place, not just with the car but also with the wider team, ahead of what is going to be a crucial start of the championship.”
