Charles Leclerc would’ve had high hopes for his 2023 season. What promised to be his maiden championship-winning season has quickly turned into a nightmare for Ferrari and the Monegasque. But every race is supposed to be a clean slate, right? Leclerc can still hope to push his championship bid. However, in reality, this year, every new race weekend has only compounded the young Monacan racing ace’s misery.
At the 2023 Australian Grand Prix, things finally became unbearable for the 25-year-old. A long way off of the pole, Leclerc would’ve hoped to get a good push off the line and into a solid position. Instead, he was pushed off the track and into the gravel trap on lap 1 of the race. Naturally, unable to get his SF-23 going again, he was classified as a DNF. And it appears that enough is enough for young Charles.
