Karting is the first step in a driver’s journey to becoming a Formula One driver; the lessons that one learns in karting will always be remembered. Lewis Hamilton is a 7-time world champion and has scaled almost every peak in his illustrious career, but the Brit hasn’t forgotten the things he learned during his early karting days.

Drivers often look back at their karting days to remember the first few things they learned about racing. In a recent Formula One video, Britain’s Knight talks about the important message he learned from his karting days.
He said, “I think ultimately the lessons that I learned that you can manifest your dreams, I wanted to race cars and be the best in the world, kinda there, so…”

Mercedes and Red Bull had a close competition throughout the season, both in the constructors’ and drivers’ titles. Valtteri Bottas had one victory, four pole positions, and eleven podium finishes, while Hamilton had eight victories, five pole positions, and seventeen podium finishes.
Hamilton scored 387.5 points and Bottas 226 points for a total of 613.5 points, allowing the Silver Arrows to win the constructors’ championship. Unfortunately for the team, Hamilton controversially lost the drivers’ title on the final lap of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
