For many, Formula 1 exists from race weekend to race weekend. However, that is not the case for entities involved with the premier class. Traveling with the circus is not just a weekend extravaganza but a 24×7 job. The intense and highly demanding nature of the sport consumes everyone involved with it, especially drivers. However, everyone needs a break, and this is exactly why drivers resort to various activities to take their minds off of racing. We already know about Charles Leclerc, it’s his piano and his music. However, carrying a piano everywhere with him isn’t possible, and this is why the Monegasque has resorted to a cheap and portable alternative.

To take his mind off of racing, the Ferrari man resorts to music, specifically playing his piano. The Monegasque is quite good at it as well and his Instagram stories prove that occasionally. However, keeping a piano’s portability in mind, Leclerc has reported to a new instrument for his quick dose of escapism.

Leclerc has bought a Lava Me 3 acoustic guitar retailing at 1000 USD. It’s a new instrument and Leclerc is still getting a hang of it but loves some of the features which he revealed in the Beyond the Grid podcast. “I like music and you don’t need much to actually enjoy playing an instrument,” revealed Leclerc.

He then gave information on his new instrument when asked about his piano. “So I have a new guitar which I actually quite enjoy. It’s a Lava Me 3. It’s an acoustic guitar but with a strange system in it where you can have echoes and you can add audio effects. Which makes it sound a lot cooler and a lot better than I am. So I really like it,” he said.

A $1000 piece of entertainment for a man who has earned $50 million in his career so far. Simple pleasures! However, what does the Monegasque prefers? The guitar or the piano?

Piano or guitar? There are equally enthusiastic players for both instruments. Leclerc plays both and enjoys them both. However, when asked which is his preferred source of entertainment, the Monegasque had a clear winner. Although he’s leaving room for change.

Commenting on his preference, he said, “No, I prefer the piano, for now! But probably because my level at the piano is better than the one at the guitar so. It’s unfair to judge for now but time will tell.”

For Leclerc, the piano is the clear preference. However, like everything in life, the Monegasque is leaving room for change. Maybe his preference changes in the long run. Although, for the sake of Tifosi, let’s hope this outlook is limited to his off-track activities.
