It looks like Fernando Alonso is breaking a record in every GP he races in. The Spanish driver broke another record when he was driving in the French Grand Prix this weekend. He recently became the first driver to start in 350 races in Formula One.

On Sunday, he surpassed former F1 world champion, Kimi Raikkonen, to break another record in the sport. He has now become the driver to complete most laps in the sport’s history. The Alpine driver has now completed 18,672 laps in Formula One since he started racing in 2001.

“I did 350 races, so I know what I’m doing! It was fun. The start was crucial, probably, to get ahead of Lando. I think [McLaren] have a very similar pace, but to be in front of them in the first couple of laps was enough to control the race and to control the pace.”

“I think we played the race like a chess game; we tried to position the McLaren’s close to us and try to have some clear air in front, so all in all… it was a good Sunday,” said the two-time world champion.
