Max Verstappen has time and again talked about not wanting to continue racing for too many years. However, for now, it seems like he can’t get enough of it. While team Red Bull is busy working on releasing the car for the 2023 season, the reigning champion is practicing his skills on a simulator. Fans were left dumbstruck as a picture of his home racing setup surfaced online.
Max is quite an e-sports enthusiast. The game he loves playing the most is FIFA. Before F1 made a return after the pandemic-induced lockdowns, the Dutchman became an avid live streamer, as did his fellow grid-mates Lando Norris and Charles Leclerc. The trio played all sorts of games ranging from F1 sim racing to Call of Duty. During one such live stream, Max had a hilarious moment with his girlfriend Kelly Piquet’s then-two-year-old Penelope.

As racing fans, we have all dreamed about having a racing simulator of our own. However, we know how expensive those things can be. However, for $200 million worth Max Verstappen (according to Forbes), ’tis but a scratch. While Max’s own setup is pretty expensive, the stuff around is very minimalistic. It is simply placed in the corner of a room with wooden flooring, a mini Red Bull fridge, and a neon sign that says “f*ck off”.
As per SCMP, Verstappen’s setup “has a Playseat F1 Ultimate cockpit (US$2,800), a custom-made LM-Pro steering wheel by Precision Sim Engineering (US$1,800), Heusinkveld Ultimate pedals (US$1,100), and a Leo Bodnar SimSteering system (US$4,000). The entire set-up is estimated to cost anywhere from US$15,000 to more than US$35,000.”

One fan thought Max’s simulator was aspirational. While it is pretty expensive, we’re sure the expensive is totally worth it.

One user recalled the popular “guys really live in apartments like this” meme for the setup.

Given how everything in the picture was so simple and yet went so well together had a fan compare it with a piece of art. We couldn’t help but agree.
The messy cables in the back, the Red Bull fridge at hand's reach, the sandals to the side, the super extra "Fuck Off" sign lit up. This is a renaissance painting https://t.co/W20OlNggBF
