Formula 1 is the premier racing league that sets the benchmark for the world of motorsport. On-track teams work on producing the fastest package, but off-track they put a lot of hours into their pit stop practices. Inspired by the F1 pit stop times, the CEO of Tesla Motors, Elon Musk, has an announcement for the world.
The South African business magnate announced an update for his multi-billion firm. In his recent tweet, he wrote “Excited to work with Tesla Service to enable same-hour service as often as possible! Applying Formula 1 pit crew techniques to Teslas.”

The world knows Musk for his great taste in cars. Even 20 years ago, he picked up one of the best supercar and made the headlines. In 1999, he sold his start-up, Zip2, for $307 million. Subsequently, he bought the McLaren F1 supercar for $1 million. There are only 62 units of this car in the world and he is one of the privileged owners of this rare vehicle.
McLaren F1 makes use of a naturally aspirated V12 engine, producing 618 hp and 627 PS. Remarkably, it goes from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds.
In the past, the business tycoon has often made his remarks about F1.
