Is there anything new with the Mercedes W12 car?
The machinery will officially be called the ‘Mercedes-AMG F1 W12 E Performance’. The technology label ‘E Performance’ will henceforth see itself crafted on all of their Formula 1 and Mercedes-AMG hybrid cars.
But much like any other team, F1 regulations require Mercedes to carry over significant amount of parts into building their 2021 car. Chassis stability is something that is unusual for outfits, considering the work they put in over every winter period to gain performance enhancement.
At the same time, Mercedes’ technical chief James Allison mentioned that despite the rules, it has been ‘every bit as difficult’ to create their new car. Therefore, it is possible that the team are waiting for Bahrain testing to perform a concrete analysis on their 2021 challenger.

Mercedes’ supporters received some great news when Hamilton put pen to paper on a one-year deal last month. He will now partner Bottas and help continue the team on their merry winning streak of seven consecutive Constructors’ titles.
Undoubtedly, Hamilton will also come into the season seeking an unprecedented 8th F1 title. After all, no driver has won eight championships thus far, and the 35-year-old could well be the first one to do so.
