Hamilton’s achievements make him a giant in the world of Formula 1. The man is arguably the most successful F1 driver ever. At 7, he currently shares the record for most drivers’ championship title wins. However, physically, he stands 5’8” tall.
Lewis Hamilton and Shaquille O’Neal become the b*tt of jokes for F1 fans
Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton is not the tallest driver on the F1 grid. He is not the shortest either. Despite that, he ended up looking like a dwarf standing next to NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal. What made it even more hilarious was the fact that Lewis was standing on the runners-up podium and Shaq still towered over him.

Formula 1 will return this weekend after a week’s break at the COTA. This made fans reminisce on last year’s Austin Grand Prix memories where Red Bull’s Max Verstappen pipped Hamilton to take the winner’s trophy. However, the hilarious moment was left for last. After the three podium finishers (3rd being Sergio Perez) stood for the national anthem of the Netherlands, Shaq came and stood between Verstappen and Lewis. Fans were clearly not going to let that moment go.

One fan lauded the achievements of the two legends in their sport.
Shaq has 4 NBA rings and Lewis an astonishing 7 (many say 8) World Titles. The physical size may be different but the stature of each champion is the same.

This is such a wonderfully deceptive photo. Can you imagine this being the first time anyone encounter Lewis or Shaq and thinking they were even close to the same height. https://t.co/YEEWAQCuT9

Hamilton is not having the dominant run he enjoyed for years. That streak was broken last year when Max Verstappen took the title away from him in a controversial Abu Dhabi race. This year he has fallen further down the pecking order. We are sure Shaq, like Lewis’ other fans, is waiting for him to take his record-winning 8th drivers’ championship.
