The race at the temple of Speed just got over, with Max Verstappen claiming his fifth straight win. While Verstappen was basking in the glory of his win, another one-time F1 champion was at the paddock. F1 fans react on Twitter as the recent NASCAR Cup Series recruit Kimi Raikkonen paid a visit to Monza.

The Italian Grand Prix saw the Red Bull star pick his 11th win of the season. Raikkonen, who couldn’t manage to be a victor on the glorified track of Monza, was present to witness Verstappen do the wonders at the expense of his old team, Scuderia Ferrari.

The former Ferrari driver was in the paddock before and after the race, clicking selfies with fans. The Finland international also had his family accompanying him. Even though Raikkonen is a man who’s known for his private nature, was quite open during his visit to Monza.

The 2007 F1 world champion retired from Formula 1 last year. Post his retirement, Raikkonen briefly became a part of the American premium form of motorsport, NASCAR last month. The Iceman has made his Cup Series debut at the 2022 Watkins Glen race for the Trackhouse Racing team.

However, the F1 fans shared their views on the temporary #91 NASCAR driver and asked others to give the driver some space.

Monza, being the home to Scuderia Ferrari, also fetched some fandoms for Raikkonen. Kimi Raikkonen was a former Ferrari driver, so that pretty much says it all.

Raikkonen and his children even went to greet his former Ferrari mechanics.

There were high-fives all along the Ferrari paddock for Kimi Raikkonen, one of Ferrari’s prestigious drivers and the last one to win a Driver’s championship for them after Michael Schumacher.
