The battle for the 2021 world championship is nearing a thrilling end. The two title rivals are separated by just 8 points going into the last two races. As expected, the war of words has taken center stage again like it has done the entire season. Red Bull team principal Christian Horner recently accused Lewis Hamilton of “dropping subtle digs” on the team. However, he also believes that it will not affect Verstappen to any extent.
More recently, Red Bull and Mercedes bosses have been called out for their continuing verbal banter. They were even compared to ‘8-year olds fighting in the schoolyard’ by a former F1 driver. Nevertheless, this back and forth still goes on with Horner’s latest claim on Lewis.

The fight for the title has seen many ups and downs. The Briton was in a 19-point deficit to the Dutchman at one stage and now it has come down to 8-points. The Milton Keynes-based team’s boss recently said that the Silver Arrows driver was taking subtle digs at Red Bull and Max. “Lewis continually drops his subtle little digs or provocations,” said Horner as reported by PlanetF1.
“But I think the great thing about Max is he doesn’t give a f***. He is who he is. He drives a car fast. And then he wants to go home and play on his PlayStation. It’s as simple as that.” he added.
Horner went on to compare the Red Bull star with another modern great in the boxing world.

Max Verstappen has got the same heart as Tyson Fury
Christian Horner is a big fan of Verstappen’s all-out commitment and incredible speed. He believes Verstappen is currently at his peak, and even went on to compare the F1 rising star with two-time heavyweight Boxing Champion Tyson Fury. “Max drives like Tyson Fury fights. He’s got that same heart. You just know he’s going to give it everything and if you knock him down, he’s going to get back up,” said the Briton as reported by PlanetF1.
“He’s got that burning desire, that all-out commitment. I would put money on Max’s first flying lap in Saudi Arabia being the fastest of any driver,” he added.
