It seems Penelope Piquet is following in Max Verstappen‘s footsteps! No, she is not driving racing cars, but, she’s learned to cuss, which was pretty hilarious. Recently, Verstappen shared a funny yet embarrassing episode about his partner’s daughter. Showing how the 6-year-old swore in front of the Red Bull No.1’s grandma. Verstappen has previously mentioned that he and P share a very good bond. He sees her whenever he’s back at home in Monaco.
Max shared the story with his father Jos Verstappen while filming for Viaplay’s documentary, Max Verstappen: Anatomy of a Champion. He narrated how Penelope and his grandmother were at his home in Monaco. Suddenly the cats began to jump around and act weird. On seeing this P remarked: “What the f*** are the cats doing?” Max further said, “And Grandma has that look like, ‘Oh. What did she say?!’. But she hears me say that.” By the time Max finished the narration inside the car, his father Jos Verstappen began to laugh hysterically. It’s not every day that you see the former F1 driver (famous for his anger) laugh so heartily.

On the other hand, the Red Bull driver had a guilty face! It was as if he was accepting Penelope was picking up his trait. Thanks to all her visits to Max’s live streams the little girl is learning some ‘fancy’ words! Meanwhile, the connection between P and the ‘Flying Dutchman’ continues to grow stronger with time.
Max Verstappen and Penelope Piquet’s bond is so endearing
How can we forget the sad little face Penelope had when Max DNFed in Australia? Penelope was heartbroken, but a hug from Lando Norris cheered her up. But at the Japanese GP, Verstappen’s win felt like a tribute to her, and his joy on the podium was palpable, especially with Baby P cheering in the crowd. She often visits Max’s sim team’s live streams, giving him kisses and showing off a pillow with his face, and even pleads with him to convince Kelly to let her skip showers.

However, Max Verstappen clarifies that he’s not Penelope’s father figure. The 6-year-old’s biological dad, Daniil Kvyat who was replaced by Max at Red Bull in 2016 shares a lovely bond with the child. And Max wants things to remain that way. “I’m not the father, that’s not the aim. It’s always very important that she has a good relationship with her own father, which she has. But I see her every day when I’m at home. We get on very well. She’s very cute,” Verstappen said.

Max’s soft side spills out around Penelope. A fan had once stated: “A roaring lion on the track but a baby kitten for P.” And dare we say, they aren’t wrong. Verstappen’s gentleness and playfulness around the little girl is so endearing, that fans can’t stop showering their love for this duo. And maybe to some extent, Penelope does want to emulate Max, however, cussing would be the last thing she’d pick. Nonetheless, their friendship is extremely adorable.
