The controversial 2021 season ended and fans are eagerly waiting for the 2022 Formula One season to begin, which is just around the corner. Fans want to learn everything about the upcoming season like the drivers, race schedule, and everything surrounding the F1 2022 season.
It seems like yesterday when Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton were having the neck-to-neck battle against each other for the 2021 title. Eventually, the Red Bull driver lifted his maiden World Championship. However, many fans and F1 pundits criticized the season finale as they claimed Verstappen won because of Masi’s late-race safety car decision.
After the race, FIA investigated the incident and removed Michael Masi as the race director, and planned to establish a new structure to conduct a race in the 2022 season. there are even rumors suggesting that F1 might introduce a system similar to the VAR in soccer. Further, there are a lot of changes this year because of the new rules and regulations; therefore, fans are going to have a lot on the plate this season to enjoy.

What is the F1 2022 schedule?
One of the most interesting facts that every F1 fan wants to know is the race schedule for the 2021 season. This upcoming season is going to be 22 races long and has two pre-season testing instead of the typical one pre-season testing until 2021.
Although, the first pre-season test in Barcelona is already over, which took place on February 23-25. Further, the second pre-season test will take place in Bahrain on March 10-12. Soon after the Bahrain test, the 2022 season will commence with Bahrain Grand Prix.

Also this season, two races will take place in the United States and the inaugural Miami Grand Prix is one of them. Furthermore, the Russian Grand Prix was also there on the schedule. But FIA removed it from the schedule because of the ongoing situation between Russia and Ukraine.

Who are the drivers in the F1 2022?
Like every year, ten teams will participate in the F1 2022 season and each team will have two drivers on the grid; therefore, 20 F1 drivers will be competing for the title. However, fans would be able to witness some changes in the roster. There would be some new faces and some old faces but in different outfits.
Also, fans might not witness some old faces like Kimi Raikkonen and Antonio Giovinazzi, who left F1 after the 2021 season. Also, Hass F1 terminated their alliance with Nikita Mazepin because of the Russia-Ukraine tension.

What to expect from the 2022 season?
Many speculated that Lewis Hamilton quit F1 after his defeat last season; however, the Brit is back to compete against others to lift his record eighth World Championship. Meanwhile, his rival Max Verstappen, the 2021 World Champion, has to push harder than last season. Because many believe he only won because of Masi’s controversial decision.

Further, every F1 team would have the advantage to compete against powerhouses like Mercedes and Red Bull. Ferrari already believes they have an advantage because of the new rules and also Mclaren is also very confident in their team.

Also, Alfa Romeo believes they might not have a bottom finish this season, they are quite confident in their new line-up: the former Mercedes driver Valtteri Bottas and rookie Zhou Guanyu. Therefore, fans would witness a lot of action during this season and might witness some outstanding battles between the top-tier teams and the underdogs.
