American sprinter Fred Kerley is one of the popular names of the track and field. Kerley has won several medals at the World Championships and is known for his heroics in the 400m races.

Fred Kerley looks forward to beating Usain Bolt
Kerley recently took to his Twitter to reveal what he is eying next. Notably, he has set time limits for himself for each of the races and aims to triumph over them in the coming season.
“9, 18, and 42” posted Kerley, indicating he wants to be in the 9-second range for 100m, while for the 200m and 400m he wants to be in the 18 seconds and 42 seconds range, respectively. In comparison, the fastest record for 200m is held by none other than Usain Bolt at 19.19 seconds, which means that Kerley would have to do the unthinkable if he is to stand true to his words.

At Tokyo 2020, Kerley ran an impressive 100m at 9.84 seconds, which means that he has already achieved one of his goals. It will be interesting to see whether he can achieve his other two set time ranges.
Kerley will next be seen in the World Athletics Championships. Previously, Kerley has also won the Diamond League trophies in 100m and 400m.

Fred Kerley has also been nominated for the United States Track and Field Athlete of the Year award. The organization gives this prestigious award every year to the best athletes in the sport.
