Former double champion, ‘The Notorious’ Conor McGregor, has shocked the MMA world once again. And it wasn’t because of something that he accomplished inside the Octagon, but it was his recent fight announcement that left fans gasping. On New Year, just as he promised, he posted a video announcing his return to the Octagon against Michael Chandler at UFC 302 at 185 lbs. However, former two-time lightweight champion, Rafael Dos Anjos isn’t too keen on the news.
The former two-time lightweight champion isn’t the biggest Conor McGregor fan. Mainly because the two were set to fight at UFC 196, but the fight fell through due to Dos Anjos suffering a broken foot. The two have butted heads in the past, but nothing has come to fruition. And post the announcement by McGregor, the Brazilian couldn’t hold back but berate the ‘Notorious’. Let’s find out what he had to share.

The Brazilian and the Irishman have no love shared between the two. And Dos Anjos was quick to call out a post that praised McGregor for fighting in four weight classes. The post implied that McGregor would make history as the only fighter who fought in all three weight classes above where he made his debut.
“If this happens at middleweight, @TheNotoriousMMA would join Diego Sanchez & Kenny Florian as only fighters in UFC history to fight in four weight classes (only Florian won in four). Sanchez & Florian both started at 185 and went down. McGregor started at 145 and has escalated.”
Taking to his Instagram story, Dos Anjos took a jab at McGregor and immediately pointed out that despite moving up in weight, the Irishman fought fighters coming up in weight alongside him. “Isn’t all the opponents he fought at welterweight and the one coming up at Middleweight 155’s?”

Though Rafael Dos Anjos seems annoyed with the Irishman, how would his opponent for UFC 302 feel about the fight being in middleweight? Michael Chandler had his thoughts and predictions to share regarding the shift in weight classes.

Conor McGregor’s opponent for UFC 302, Michael Chandler, seems less bothered by what weight he’s fighting McGregor at. He even had a bold prediction for the fight against the Mystic Mac.
‘Iron’ predicted the outcome, saying, “Man, the mystic Mike prediction. I stand firm in my prediction that I make him second-guess himself in the first round get him on his heels. Get him real tired by the end of the first, break him at the end of the first, and finish him in the second. I think I knock him out. Devastating knockout in the second round.”
