Giannis Antetokounmpo?s former teammate Jeff Teague talked about Jayson Tatum and Co.?s chances of winning a championship this season during the Club 520 Podcast. With the addition of 7-time All-Star Damian Lillard, the Milwaukee Bucks have become one of the strongest teams in the NBA. If Jayson Tatum wants to win his first ring, he will have to overcome the lethal duo of The Greek Freak and Dame D.O.L.L.A. Jeff Teague claimed, ?If Jayson Tatum get a chip in Boston, he the 2nd best Celtic of All-Time. 3rd my fault. No 4th.? The former Bucks guard believes winning a championship against so many great teams will put Tatum over legends like Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett in the list of Greatest Celtics.
Even though Teague bestowed Tatum with a huge honor, he was not completely sure where he wanted to rank the 4-time All-Star. Teague’s initial reaction was to put Tatum in 2nd place, but he quickly corrected himself and changed the position to 4th. According to the ex-Bucks guard, Bill Russell, Larry Bird, and John Havlicek rank above the 25-year-old Forward in the Celtics All-Time Greats list.

Tatum has a long way to go
Jayson Tatum is a superstar in the NBA and deserves all the praise he gets. But he has a lot more to accomplish before he can be put in the same ranks as some of the best Celtics players of all time. Before the Jayson Tatum era in Boston, legends like Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce helped the Celtics win the NBA title. They both had Hall of Fame careers and can be easily ranked above Jayson Tatum in the All-time list.

Tatum is just 25 years old and has the potential to become one of the greatest players of all time. But he cannot be considered above The Big Ticket or The Truth until he wins an NBA title. If Jayson Tatum manages to lead the Celtics to their first NBA title since 2008 this year, he will definitely strengthen his claim in the Celtics All-time list.
