Assassin’s Creed Valhalla concentrates on Viking culture. The story takes place during England’s Dark Ages in the 9th century, originating in 873. As mentioned by Creative Director Ashraf Ismail, to begin a new experience in England, the clan has left Norway. Players will visit four important English kingdoms of East Anglia, Wessex, Northumbria, and Mercia. Norway and England make up the nucleus of the game’s map, and players will be able to travel between both countries.
The Protagonist
Eivor will lead their clan from Norway’s endless conflicts to the coasts of England and beyond. King Alfred the Great of Wessex and the Saxons aren’t exactly embracing the arrival.
Although England may be somewhat more hospitable, claiming out new territory won’t be easy. The Saxons, who are resistive about the clan’s presence, will do everything in their power to drive you from the land.
Players will have the option to play as either a male or female Eivor, with new customization options being introduced that allow you to customize your Eivor’s hair, tattoos, war paint, etc.
For the first time in an Assassin’s Creed game, players can create and customize unique mercenary Viking raiders and share it with friends online who can then utilize it during their raids. Players will also be able to upgrade their gear (set of weapons and armor).
