Leicester City extended their lead at the top of the Premier League table with an impressive victory at Goodison Park as they defeated Everton 2-3.
Riyad Mahrez scored a penalty in the 27th minute, but the hosts leveled the score, thanks to the in-form Romelu Lukaku who scored just 5 minutes later. Mahrez then again converted from the penalty-spot in the 65th minute & Shinji Okazaki scored just 4 minutes later, putting Leicester two goals to the good. Everton substitute Kevin Mirallas did scored in the dying moments of the game, but Leicester held their nerve in an exciting finish.
This was Claudio Ranieri team’s 11th victory in 17 Premier league games.
