The 2021 BMW PGA Championship had an enthralling moving day. And after round three, Francesco Laporta leads the event with a score of -14. Meanwhile, prominent players like Lee Westwood, Viktor Hovland, had a strenuous round, while Justin Rose, Tommy Fleetwood, and Shane Lowry have made a leaderboard surge after Round 3.
The event is all set for a cliffhanger of a finish on Sunday, as there are around nineteen players within four strokes or fewer from the lead. Hence, no player is a clear favorite to lift the trophy. Moreover, the change in course conditions today made it difficult for players to shoot birdies.

Francesco Laporta leads the 2021 BMW PGA Championship going into the final round
Meanwhile, the Italian golfer, Francesco Laporta, had an excellent moving day round. He carded 69 and finished the round with a score of -14 as he scored three birdies and an eagle. However, he registered two bogeys on the 2nd and 7th, which unfortunately held him back from taking the outright lead.
The 30-year-old Italian was absolutely impeccable off the tee as usual. However, his game around the greens was slightly below par this week. But still, he carded 68, 65, and 69 so far to get the top spot after 54-holes.
Meanwhile, the 36-hole leader, Kiradech Aphibarnrat, had a disappointing moving day. He was two over thru the front nine and managed to get his first birdie of the day on the 15th hole. His game looked completely out of sync, especially his accuracy with iron shots.
Moreover, Shane Lowry had a decent round, which got him in the top ten. And he needs a strong finish this week to get himself on the Ryder Cup team as an automatic qualification. He registered four birdies and a bogey to remain at -11 and is just three strokes behind the lead.

Course Conditions
The conditions for the moving day were slightly on the tougher side. Players were struggling to make birdies on a few holes due to some heavy rough. Hence, finding the fairway off the tee was crucial for players to make birdies. And it is going to remain the same for the final round as well.
Moreover, the wind on moving day seemed to change all of a sudden and made scoring harder for the players. So, if the wind direction remains the same, then people are going to find it difficult to card a lower score.

Going into the final round, there are around 15 players in contention. And even though the Italian Laporta has a lead, it will not be a straightforward round. And if the conditions remain similar to the moving day, then it is going to get even more exciting for all the fans.
