As the “Style Bender” finally manages to overcome one of his long-time rivals at UFC 287, fans were enraged after learning that he was backed by the controversial young streamer, Adin Ross. Ross is an ex-Twitch streamer who got the boot from the platform after his problematic behavior towards women and marginalized communities.

At UFC 287, Israel Adesanya and Alex Pereira faced each other for the 4th time in their career. In their encounters, the Style bender had been, for long, struggling to get the high ground on his arch-rival. After losing twice in kickboxing and once in MMA, Adesanya finally got his footing right against Pereira and knocked him out, reclaiming the UFC middleweight throne.

Adin David Ross is an American streamer and content creator. He had gained a name for himself after interviewing ‘infamous’ celebrities and online personalities. In a stream, he featured the notorious ex-kickboxer and ‘Alpha male’ preacher, Andrew Tate, who allegedly “changed his life” and showed him the “right way”.

Ever since then, the internet had very mixed opinions on Adin. Following his demeanor, Twitch banned the streamer from their platform, resulting in Ross’s migration to Kick. This bad light affects every event or show he visits that have an audience that belongs outside of his bubble, and it became apparent when Ross tried to promote Izzy before his fight with Alex Pereira at UFC 287.

Adin posted a short video from the fight’s venue, showing his support toward the Style bender before his fight against Alex. He shared that, he is hoping for Adesanya to “take it home”. But fans didn’t take this gesture warmly at all. Some of them even shared their “disgust” at seeing Adin at the venue.
