The glorious night of fights at UFC 270 produced insane moments to kick off the year for the promotion. UFC’s heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou put his title on the line against number one contender Ciryl Gane. The grueling contest between the two titans went on for all 5 rounds and saw The Predator walking away with his hands raised.

The heavyweight champion once again impressed the community, but this time with his improved wrestling ability. He never got the chance to land a knockout punch, but his high fight IQ and impressive ground game were on full display.

His newly adopted fighting style seems eerily similar to a former UFC heavyweight champion and WWE veteran, Brock Lesnar vs Francis Ngannou could have been a dream fight that fans and promotion would have loved to witness, but sadly, the two fighters belong to two different eras.

But that doesn’t mean that a fight between the two can’t be organized on a virtual level.

UFC 4 brilliantly showcased the clash of Francis Ngannou vs Brock Lesnar

The Predator vs the Beast Incarnate hasn’t happened and probably never will. Stylistically, the two fighters are each other’s worst matchups. Ngannou carries nuclear bombs in his hands, which can knock anyone out with a single punch. On the other hand, Lesnar’s wrestling background as a Division 1 champion can prove to be a major problem for the current champion.

The gameplay of the latest iteration of the title favored Brock Lesnar to win the clash, but the simulation did not take UFC 270’s performance into account.

Grappling is no longer an issue for the champ

The Predator has fixed his weakness, and his recent outing at UFC 270 showcased his improved grappling ability. In his previous outing at UFC 260, Ngannou stuffed Stipe Miocic’s take-down attempts and landed a fight-ending knock-out blow in the second round. In a similar fashion, he managed to use his wrestling to grind out a unanimous decision win over Ciryl Gane.

It would not be fair to count him out in a fight against Lesner, especially after what he displayed in the last two fights.

Ngannou’s power might not transfer in the same manner in the later rounds, but he can definitely catch Lesnar off guard. The former champion is vulnerable to certain kinds of offense, and he might not be able to withstand a punch from the current champion.

Who do you think would win this epic clash between two world champions?
