The year 2021 wasn’t easy for the Twitch star xQc as he had to break up with his long-time girlfriend, Adept. But while dating, the Twitch couple were an absolute fan favorite. However, xQc initially introduced Adept as his roommate instead of his girlfriend.

Felix Lengyel was living with a fellow Twitch streamer Adept for quite a long time. Fans started speculating that the two were dating, but they rejected those claims and stuck with the roommate title. But during one GTA Online live stream on Adept’s channel, xQc came from behind, embraced her, and later kissed her forehead.

As soon as xQc left the room, the fans filled the chat with “Just Roommates.” Later, Adept went to her Twitter and revealed they were not “Just Roommates.” Further, she made their relationship official during a QnA session in a later stream.

As mentioned, the Twitch duo initially introduced themselves as roommates instead of couples. But fans were eager to know why they said they were roommates and not a couple. Recently, Adept revealed in an Overwatch 2 stream that they didn’t want to make her personal life public.

“As a new couple, what do you do other than say you live together? When you don’t want people all up in your personal life.” The Twitch streamer continued, “So we say we live together, and then eventually it was like my roommate instead of being my boyfriend, my girlfriend, and then chat is responsible for just roommates.”

She further explained that she had guidelines. And according to them, they were roommates, but not “just roommates.” Adept added, “If I see you tell some that we are just roommates, we will no longer be roommates or boyfriend and girlfriend.” She also revealed that xQc didn’t want a relationship initially. But Adept wanted a serious relationship as she doesn’t “mess with guys.”

Why did the Twitch couple break up?

The Twitch star xQc shared the breakup news in August 2021 during an Apex Legend live stream. He revealed that they separated because of a fight. However, both of them never revealed the actual reason for their separation.

The fans speculated that Adept left xQc because he might be abusive towards her. But Adept later shared on Twitter that he was not abusive, and they separated for other reasons.
