You might remember Cristiano Ronaldo’s big-money move to the Saudi club Al Nassr back in January. Ronaldo is among some of the most followed individuals in all of Saudi Arabia. As a football icon, his word is taken seriously by millions of people all over the world. It made him the perfect person to promote the Gamers8 event, especially since he is currently living in Saudi. With over 100 million followers on Twitter, his post is bound to attract a lot of attention.

While Ronaldo’s association with Gamers8 brings a new level of attention to the event, Gamers8 has other tricks up their sleeve.Gamers8 has a sizeable chunk of artists on board. Names such as Iggy Azalea, Imagine Dragons, DJ Snake, and Steve Aoki are also a part of the lineup for the event. It became more than a gaming event, bringing together esports and music on an unprecedented scale.
Gamers8 sets a new benchmark for gaming events
Gaming events keep taking place all over the world. With a plethora of different companies organizing these events, large competitions have been held over the years. However, it meant organizers usually place focus on a specific game. That is exactly where Gamers8 sets itself apart.

Instead of a single game’s pro competition, Gamers8 is set to include a number of titles for its competition over the course of several weeks between July 6 and August 31st. What has been dubbed the festival of gaming already commenced on July 6. The first event was for Fortnite, Tekken 7, and FIFA. This is just the beginning of several competitions set to take place in Riyadh later this month as well as in August.
However, this is not all. In addition to these games, titles such as DOTA 2, CS:GO, Rainbow Six Siege, and many more titles are on the cards, making up for a massive influx of gamers. That is not all the event has to offer. With the number of titles present, it means more competitions taking place. The prize pool for Gamers8’s event is $45 million! Some individual events have prize money of $1 million or $2 million individually.
