Jeremy Wang, better known by his internet alias Disguised Toast, is one of the most well-known streamers and content creators. He has over 2.7 and 3.77 million followers on Twitch and YouTube, respectively. He became famous mainly thanks to his gaming livestreams, especially the ones related to Among Us.

However, the 31-year-old has now set on a new venture, and that is owning a professional Valorant Esports team Disguised, also known as DSG. They have already qualified for the VALORANT Challengers 2023: North America Split 1. However, it wasn’t easy as they had to face a team owned by a big shot in the qualifier finals.

Jeremy spent over $500,000 to start his Valorant team, and its existence depends on being in VCT 2023. However, his team needed to win the qualifiers to be able to participate, and being a new team, he couldn’t get a direct invite. But in the last round of open qualifiers, his team had to face Oxygen Esports.

Oxygen Esports is owned by Robert Kraft, an American billionaire businessman known for owning the NFL team, New England Patriots. It is undoubtedly a difficult opponent to fight, and even Disguised Toast acknowledged this.

He even said on stream, “One final opponent, Oxygen Esports, owned by NFL’s New England Patriots owner billionaire Robert Kraft versus me, the guy who likes Among Us.” Despite the odds, Disguised managed to win the qualifiers against Oxygen Esports to reach the next stage.

Disguised will face another millionaire-owned Esports team

However, Kraft’s Oxygen Esports will not be the last millionaire-owned Esports squad that DSG will be facing. Disguised Toast’s team will play its inaugural official VCT match on February 1 against Stan Kroenke’s The Guard. Kroenke is an American billionaire businessman who owns multiple major sports teams, like LA Rams, Denver Nuggets, and Arsenal FC.

“The Guard that some people say are the number one team in the league. They’re gonna be our first official VCT opponent, which I don’t know if Riot planned that. Because it’s kind of cruel of them, but that team’s owned by another billionaire Stan Kroenke who owns the Denver Nuggets and the LA Rams. I’m noticing a lot of these competing teams are owned by billionaires, that’s gonna be fun,” said Toast.
