Sony’s PlayStation 5 showcase was a little mind-blowing, with a lot of updates on big things. But perhaps due to their huge expectations, some fans came out of it disappointed. Microsoft’s showcase would be held on the 12th of this month, and yet again, people are claiming it would be something really insane.

This showcase would reportedly mainly focus on Starfield and a bunch of other first-party games coming to Xbox consoles. With E3 canceled, Ubisoft and Capcom, too, have their own showcases planned. One must then wonder, is Nintendo planning a showcase of its own soon?

Is Nintendo planning a major showcase in the coming months?

Fans got a glimpse at Spider-Man 2 and finally got the confirmation of Dragon’s Dogma 2 at Sony’s showcase. Many big titles, such as Bloodborne Remake or 2, did not even get a mention. Still, there was some satisfaction in seeing the Metal Gear Solid 3 remake get announced.

Ubisoft, too, will be holding its Ubiforward showcase on the 12th of June. It would give people a better look at the upcoming Assassin’s Creed: Mirage and much more. Then comes Capcom, it appears they have something special to announce, hence they have decided to hold their own special presentation this coming week.

Then comes Microsoft and Bethesda’s Starfield showcase, which will be held very soon too. And they are making some big claims regarding the same, as Starfield would not be the only game present here.

Amongst all these shows, one cannot help but wonder, What of Nintendo? Would Nintendo also be holding a showcase anytime soon?

Nintendo is currently enjoying the success of its latest milestone title, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Aside from that, it has remained tight-lipped regarding everything else. No mention of any other game; no Metroid Prime 2 Remastered; neither Nintendo Switch 2.

But now, trusted industry insider Jeff Grubs has recently mentioned that Nintendo might be planning its own direct for the coming July. What this direct would bring to Nintendo fans is not very clear, but the biggest guess is some Zelda remasters and Metroid Prime 2 remasters for sure. And who knows, Nintendo might even end up showing its fans a look at Metroid Prime 4.
