Zendaya’s Dune II Co-Star Earns Uplifting Seal of Approval From $264Billion Man Elon Musk

The Dune franchise has turned out to be a huge success both theatrically and as a book. Frank Herbert has created an elaborate universe that can be explored and experimented with to create narrative elements for the movie. The first Dune movie, which came out towards the end of 2021, featured some of the big young names from Hollywood, such as Timothy Chalamet and Zendaya.

The franchise has received approval for a sequel, Dune II. This will explore some more elements from Frank Herbert’s book, which didn’t make the first movie. Christopher Walken has reportedly signed with the franchise to play the role of the emperor. This has got everyone, including Twitter-chasing billionaire Elon Musk, excited as well!

According to The Verge, Walken has signed in with Denis Villeneuve’s Dune franchise to appear as Padishah Emperor Shaddam IV in Dune II. The first movie portrayed how Paul Atreides went on his path to become a legend. However, there were many elements of the movie where Villeneuve’s got a lot more to explore.

In his book, Herbert’s universe of Dune is a huge one where all the elements of the story cannot be covered in just one movie. A notable thing about the Emperor is that he was the one who was initially responsible for sending Atreides’ father Let to the planet Arrakis.

House Harkonnen and the Emperor are both surprised in Herbert’s novel when they learn of the Fremen’s persistent resistance to Arrakis following an effort to eliminate House Atreides.

Given that Dune: Part II is intended to address sections of the novel that the previous film did not, the emperor will not be the only exciting new aspect of the plot. But he’ll undoubtedly play a key role when Dune: Part II reaches cinemas on October 20th, 2023.
