From Tom Holland to Dwayne Johnson: Nintendo Fans Cast Their Choice for the Rumored the Legend of Zelda Movie

Nintendo and Universal really hit the mark with the Super Mario Bros. movie. It quickly found its way into the hearts of fans and surpassed numerous Pixar movies to become the highest-earning animated film of all time. Breaking the trope that almost all video game-based cinema is bad, this movie has made history in more than one way. One thing that fans asked after it was, “What about The Legend of Zelda?“

Successes like the Super Mario Bros. movie really encourage people, and Universal is indeed encouraged. As rumors have it, they have decided to take the next logical step with Nintendo to make a movie for The Legend of Zelda.

Is this star cast good enough for the upcoming The Legend of Zelda movie?

Whenever reports of a movie based on a popular franchise start dropping in, fans start talking about its cast. When the God of War series was announced, people had long discussions about who should play Kratos.

Now The Legend of Zelda movie has sparked similar discussions. Fans have started discussing who should be what in this supposed upcoming movie. And their choices are nothing short of a cast full of nothing but a bunch of overhyped actors!

Twitter users have taken it upon themselves to cast actors for The Legend of Zelda movie. The cast consists of none other than Tom Holland as Link, Zendaya as Zelda, Dwayne Johnson as Ganon, and Giancarlo Esposito as Sidon.

This is a weird casting indeed. Giancarlo is indeed an excellent actor worthy of consideration; others might just be the culmination of someone’s overblown hype.

One of the biggest issues the Studios might face is the casting of Link. Link cannot have a voice actor because he never talks. This might disconnect him from the viewers. Movies generally change a few things about their usual characters while adapting them; maybe this would end up being one of those things.

There’s a lot of speculation about the actors in this yet-to-be-announced animated movie, but fans are indeed hopeful. One thing is for sure if this movie ever gets announced, these actors might not be the ones playing all those characters. As with their previous movie, Universal and Nintendo might choose to go with smaller actors than this list suggests.
