God Of War creator has slammed The Legend Of Zelda: Tears Of the Kingdom for having ‘base level’ graphics, and fans are raging on the internet.
Breath of the Wild’s sequel, The Legend Of Zelda: Tears Of the Kingdom, was well-received by fans. It was one of the most anticipated games of the year and parred all expectations set. Moreover, TOTK ranked among the ‘most-positively’ rated Nintendo games, helping the franchise make millions. So, all in all, it was a win for the franchise.
But then, the tables turned slowly, with critics having differing opinions about the game. They listed every bad thing about it that Nintendo could have considered before releasing it in the market. And among the critics was God Of War’s creator, who shared a similar feeling.

God Of War creator’s take on The Legend Of Zelda: Tears Of the Kingdom has caused unrest among the fans
Every person is bound to have a different opinion about things. It is based on their experiences, likes & dislikes, understanding of it, and more. So, even if a particular thing ranks above expectations, it is not necessary that everyone will be in awe of it.
This has been the case for the recently released Tears of the Kingdom, which looks to go down the drain. It is because the game received negative feedback from one of the biggest video game creators in the world, someone who made the original God Of War. David Jaffe, the mastermind behind GOW, shared his feelings about the recently released Zelda game. He felt the game had good mechanics, but the graphics did not come near his expectations.
In his May 12 Tweet, he said, “I don’t care about realism in games. And I’m not saying the game is bad; to me, gameplay is always the main (and often times) only thing I care about. But this game is pretty bland and old looking IMO and given how important visuals seem to be to others, it seemed worth discussing.”

David’s Tweet sparked an instant controversy on the internet. Fans raged in his comments section, talking about how Tears of the Kingdom was much bigger than GOW. Twitter user Reeler was one of the first to pen down a strong and different opinion as he said, “And yet if they had to choose 90% of gamers would prefer to play Zelda rather than any god of war, Sony, and Xbox production.” Here’s what the rest of them had to say.yeah but gow is dead already and people are still playing botw and will play totk throughout the next 4 dead games and IPs u drop.

You're just mad that your game lost to Elden Ring at GOTY and now it's being overshadowed again.

Who said anything about wanting realism? People just want nice, clean graphics no matter the art style. This game looks rough.

You are right, other publishers get docked points for outdated visuals. The switch hardware is old, yes.
But nobody would excuse other publishers for using outdated hardware
