Its silent protagonist and rich game world pooling with mysteries made it smash success for Nintendo. But across the franchise’s history, few titles accrue as much nostalgia and fanfare as The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. And fans can finally run this title in all of its magnificence on a PC.
According to reporting by VGC, a full port of the seminal Nintendo classic is finally ready for PC. This isn’t simply a rehash of the 1996 release either, as this port adds a slew of nifty features right at home on modern hardware.

Nintendo classic Zelda Ocarina of Time is ready for PC
Fans have been in love with OoT since it came out decades ago. The game’s engaging mix of graphics, music, and gameplay made diehards out of even the casual gaming audience. The game world sucked people into its immersive design and made players feel like Link. So it’s not unexpected that the fanbase has so much love for this Nintendo 64 release.
Even Nintendo noted the fanfare surrounding the title, as it re-released the game on the Nintendo Switch Expansion pack service. However, players on PC were left high and dry. But the wait is finally over! A Harbour Masters developed PC port is now available online. It offers tempting features like HD graphics, ultra-widescreen resolution, keyboard support, modding support, force feedback and gyroscope aiming.

Additionally, the developer claims features like text-to-speech, 60fps support, HD models and audio, and more are being worked on. A software called ‘Ship of Harkinian’ powers this release.
It works by extracting the game’s assets from the user’s legally sourced N64 ROM for OoT, and converting it into a native PC version. Thus, it requires legal ownership of the N64 title beforehand.
