Furthermore, he has provided a detailed step-by-step walkthrough guide to the 999 korok seeds. The person in the video states, “this trick use infantry slot transfer to corrupt the count giving you a massive 999 korok seed at once.”

Get, Set, Ready, Go!

 The procedure as explained in the video is:

• Start a new game, irrespective of the mode.
• Collect the Sheikah Slate and exit the Shrine of Ressurection.
• Beware that one can’t collect any clothing during the process.
• Once outside, pick up a woodcutter’s axe and save the game.
• Before jumping off the ledge, into the ring of water lilies, designate this as “save one”. 
• Wait until it autosaves.
• Next, go to the title screen and change the difficulty mode. 
• Load the alternative save file.
• Set up infantry slot transfer.
• Except for two unique items, sell the rest of the items to a shop.
• Hold a new item and drop it.
• Change the other save file by going to the title screen.
• Load “save one”. Unequip the axe. Load save one again and unequip the axe again.
• Repeat until you find the axe in the corrupted menu past the key items tab. Once found, reload “save one” again. Two axes will be in the menu tab.
• Load save two. Don’t open the menu or load the game. Keep running around until it autosaves. Designate it as save three.
• Reload the first save thrice before loading “save three”.
• And voila! 999 korok seeds in the inventory
• Lastly, update your menu either by collecting a new item or dropping and collecting one you already got.
