The legendary composer will further be seen as a freelancer in upcoming projects after being associated with FromSoftware’s Japanese team for twelve years.

Fans are definitely sad to bid adieu to their favorite music director Yuka Kitamura, who composed some of the iconic background tracks for games like Dark Souls. Kitamura took her official Twitter ID to share her departure from the company.

Although Kitamura’s goodbye is permanent for now, she isn’t quitting the industry- “I would like to continue to express myself in-game music through various genres of music. I hope you will look forward to my music in the future!

Sharing this news, Kitamura also spoke about her website, where fans can access her artistic creations, including her works with FromSoftware. Kitamura took part in projects like Dark Souls II, Elden Ring, Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon, and many others. Fans are now excited to witness more crazy projects in the future as she embarks on a new career as a freelancer.

Yuka Kitamura received her fame working as a music director for FromSoftware. This Japanese video game maker brought her projects like Dark Souls III, and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, which were critically acclaimed and well-received by fans.
