Many might know Jake Paul as a professional boxer, but his roots go back to YouTube. Jake started his journey as a content creator on the red platform. Although it was where he started, the competition has increased and the American recently revealed he can’t compete against Jimmy “MrBeast” Donaldson.

MrBeast needs no introduction, as he is one of the best content creators on the Google-owned platform. He has over 114 million subscribers on YouTube. Donaldson is popular for his crazy giveaways and mind-blowing challenges. It won’t be wrong to say that he is the current ‘YouTube King’.

Jake Paul says that he can’t compete against MrBeast on YouTube

The YouTuber-turned-boxer recently attended an interview with Anthony Pompliano. There Jake talked about various topics, including when he used to create YouTube content. Pompliano questioned Paul if he continued creating videos on YouTube, then could he compete against MrBeast?

But the 25-year-old rejected the question as soon as he heard it. He then explained why he couldn’t compete against the Carolina-based YouTuber. He said, “He’s obsessed with it and has such a deep passion for it. So, simply just because of that, you can’t beat someone who loves it more than you.”

The interviewer then asked if Paul was not obsessive about creating YouTube videos like MrBeast or if it was just a stepping stone for him. The American boxer chose the second option and said, “It was a stepping stone and I just did it since I was a kid. I was like good at it. And it was making a lot of money.”

Later in the interview, Paul talked about how different the present YouTube algorithm is compared to when he used to make videos. He claimed that there is tough competition on the platform. He talked about how YouTube content is PG rated now, as creators can’t swear or they need to attract an audience within the first 30 seconds.

Paul then claimed the new algorithm is a science that MrBeast has mastered. He said, “He curates his videos because you have to watch to the end to see who’s gonna get the money, who’s gonna get the prize. But the entire time, it’s fun because people are getting eliminated. So his style of video if you start watching, it’s big bold cash.”
