YouTube although is a huge market for content creators, it sometimes pushes the limits of the creative aspect of the platform into a pit making it more about challenges and cut-throat competitions. Although most of the time such content is made by creators who mutually agree to it, sometimes the lines get crossed, making a mess out of everything. The same happened between British YouTube star KSI and his younger brother Deji in 2019.

As the creators now grow individually, there was once a time when they created their content together, but later Deji, KSI’s younger brother claimed that he is being physically and mentally abused by the YouTube star in name of content creation. This got such a backlash from fans that KSI almost lost 100,000 followers overnight.

KSI vs Deji Beef

In a now-deleted video, Youtuber Deji Olatunji claimed that he had been a victim “of being treated like sh*t” and that he was “standing up” for himself. He explained his situation by saying that since he and KSI started making videos in 2012, they had “innocent” fights with each other, which he never thought of it as a “big thing”. But as the years progressed, KSI’s behaviors during their videos became more and more violent.

This then became steam for Deji, who kept it inside him for an extended period of time, finally letting it out in his diss tracks “Unforgivable,” and “Sidemen Diss Track“. Later, during Christmas 2018, KSI uploaded audio on his Twitter (deleted), where Deji can be heard saying that he will throw his brother out of his house.

This tweet then started trending on Twitter, making Deji the villain of the story and thus losing a number of followers. Later, he claimed in the deleted confession video, that the criticism that he faced from his brother’s fans made him suicidal. This then pushed KSI to take steps to resolve the dispute between him and his brother.

What did KSI do after that?

After the claims of Deji becoming suicidal because of KSI and his fans, the elder brother decided to take matters into his hands and made a video in reply titled, “Ending it all”. In the video, he explained how the confession video by Deji was misconstrued and that he had altered the original source to look like it was all KSI’s fault.

Although KSI did agree that sometimes he went out of line while streaming with his brother, he also added that it was not him alone and that Deji would also make fun of KSI and hit him for his content as well. The question then arises, who is the main culprit then?

According to Deji, it was the Sidemen group who made his brother KSI distant from him and his family. In his song (deleted) “Disagreeable” Deji even calls out KSI saying that he chooses “friends over family.” In the song, Deji also says, “How could you block your bro? Even blocked your mum and dad too?” Thus proving the point.

What happened Next?

Notably, though, the brother later came to a cease-fire as both of them realized their mistakes and ended their beef. They even made a video titled, “Reunion With My Brother“. Lately, they can also be seen reacting to each other’s videos as well and even making some together. Deji also said in a recent video, that KSI’s motivation before his boxing match made him feel calmer.
