Many times games that were beloved before become exhausting and tiring. This is mostly because of how repetitive the gameplay becomes after playing it for years. Many think this is also the case with Fortnite.

Epic Games’ Fortnite as a game has given fans some of the best memories of recent years in video games. It was the first Battle Royale to take the world by storm and also the only one to have so many changes over the years. But now fans think that the game has lost its edge.
Fortnite and its downfall
It is debatable to say whether Fortnite is actually moving towards its downfall. This is because the game had seen some significant changes over the years that had a severe effect on the game. Many fans pointed this out in the comments of a Tweet made by HappyPower.
In the tweet from 29 July HappyPower asked Fortnite fans, “We’re currently 50% through Season 3. What’s your number one complaint so far this Season?” To which fans had some serious replies.

Some of the fans thought that the guns did not have the same effect on the game that they had before. While others thought that grenades are being taken away from the game making it a bit bland.

It's to bland and boring and stale because I understand it's supposed to be a chill season but come on at least at some sort of action or story to be honest this whole chapter so far has been stale. Because not enough action or story

Notably, the latest Fortnite season (Season 3) is not very exciting to fans which made them feel that something was a bit off about the game.

What might have happened?
According to a fan, the main issue with Fortnite nowadays is not the game itself but its gaming community. As explained by him, it’s not the game itself but the streamers who hype up certain events that might never happen.
The threat of the reality tree remains a mystery, had the Bloomwatcher not been revealed we wouldn't even have a villain.

As for my many issues outside the game, most come from content creators getting desperate for views and will jump onto ANY rumour or leak, as a result content creators get people hyped up for something that never happens because of relatively baseless rumour.

Also, it can’t be ignored that Fortnite has the same gameplay mechanics that were there 4 years ago. This for many was an issue because it surely burns out the material that was enjoyable before.
Tbh if they want to really have a great season they have to do something new and game changing cuz 4+ years of the same concept makes the game dead
