Felix really doesn’t like to hold on to materialistic things, and the hype around the Diamond Play button was quite unsettling. This is where he decided to part ways with it, by giving it away to a fellow YouTuber Lizardlava as a wedding gift.

He said,” It is kind of like nerfing yourself, right? There is so much importance into this one item that to me it is just a piece of metal. But, now I have to bring this piece of metal with me wherever I go and it is apparently, how do I explain?

I don’t like putting value into items, okay? I like putting value into action,  and I guess that’s it. People knew what we accomplished with this channel, people know about the 100 million thing. The award is great, I loved receiving it, I don’t wanna sound ungrateful for getting it. But keeping it for me is like, I don’t know, I just don’t find it that important.”
