A few years back, Conan invited Serena Williams on the show after she’d defeated Maria Sharapova in the Australian Open. Willams had just registered her eighth grand slam title, making her the perfect guest of the show.

The duo spoke about various things like Wimbledon, life, tennis as a whole sport, and many more. However, a small part of the clip grabbed every fan’s attention as it featured a Nintendo video game alongside the stars.

Interestingly, Conan challenged Serena Williams to a game of tennis on Nintendo Wii Sports, as it was his dream to play against her. To every viewer’s surprise, the TV show host also got into character, ripping off his clothes while appearing in a tennis outfit on screen. “You’re intimidating me,” Selena exclaimed right after Conan performed the transition.

Williams had a strong start to the set as she scored the first point of the night. However, Conan quickly leveled the scores, proving to be a strong contender. The duo spent the next few minutes featuring a cat-and-mouse game, leaving fans at the edge of their seats.

Sadly, the queen of tennis later accepted defeat as Conan clinched a last-second victory over his opponent. He then thanked the athlete for accepting his request, as it was a lifelong dream.
