Back in March, the Yard posted an episode named “He sold his car to buy a CS:GO Knife | The Yard” teasing the shenanigans that their co-host has wrought. Ex-Twitch streamer Ludwig was visibly baffled by his friend’s financial decisions and the fact that a virtual skin could be sold for such an absurd price.

This purchase was made by the host, Aiden. In the episode, Aiden was talking about how he was affected by the difficulties of the crypto world when he tried to acquire some coins to buy CS:GO skins. It took some time for Ludwig to process what his colleague was trying to say, but when he finally got a hold of what was happening, he asked why he needed coins to buy a skin and how much it cost.

The other hosts, who were aware of the situation, started smiling and asked Aiden to tell Ludwig how much the skin cost him. With a shy look on his face, Aiden answered Ludwig, saying he bought a “Sapphire Butterfly” skin, which has a factory new condition price of $20,000, but he got it for $14000. “You used the money for this?” said Ludwig.

Not only did Aiden spend an absurd amount of money on a virtual item, but to buy the cosmetic, he also sold his car. To make the matter more embarrassing for their friend, the other hosts forced Aiden to call his dad and tell him what he had done. But to their surprise, Aiden’s dad was kind of cool with it. As he said, he never thought video games were a good idea until his son proved him wrong, and this could be the same.
