Yuri Lowenthal, the voice actor portraying Peter Parker in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, recently commented on the ongoing situation and why making a stand becomes important under such circumstances. Lowenthal believes that discrimination and unjust actions must be addressed ASAP, and things need to be made right.

Insomniac Games‘ Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is releasing on October 20th. After the brilliant response garnered by its predecessor, fans are expecting something brilliant from the upcoming game. However, the game is being released during tumultuous times. The SAG-AFTRA strikes are making tremors across the US and have severely affected the film industry. With a number of prominent names voicing their support for the strikes, things aren’t looking to be settled anytime soon.
Now, Lowenthal also made his views clear in a recent interview about how the gaming industry should respond to the ongoing strikes. SAG-AFTRA has just authorized a gaming industry strike and Lowenthal believes things will follow its natural course. Lowenthal mentioned that the video gaming industry also often lets things slip by. But it’s wrong to support unjust actions and its best to prevent them, opines the actor behind Peter Parker’s voice in Spider-Man 2.

Lowenthal also mentions that AI and technology should be adopted. But that cannot come at the expense of exploiting those who have helped to build the industry over decades. With greed being the determining factor, Lowenthal says dialogue between the stakeholders is the only hope to make things right.

Insomniac Games claims that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will be a unique journey. The upcoming game will see a sprawling New York City map that will have a ton of missions for the players. On top of that, players can team up with other players in the open-world game to take down the villains in the game.
We know that many new villains, including Kraven the Hunter, Venom, and Lizard, will be appearing in the game along with some familiar returning ones. With around 20 hours of playtime, fans have a lot to look forward to in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.
